Blessing Tree and Blessing of Our Pet-friends
St. Francis and Blessing of Animals
Many people bring their pets to church to be blessed on St Francis' feast day. October 4th,  because of his love for animals as expressed in his Canticle of Creatures. St Francis is the patron saint of animals.
